Software Engineer Netcode

The opportunity
Many game developers express that multiplayer game creation can be of the most complex challenges; balancing ease of use with performance and flexibility remains unsolved. As a result, we’ve seen far too little innovation in multiplayer games over the last decade, while creativity in single-player games has thrived.

We are seeking a netcode engineer to help us shape the future of multiplayer experiences made on the Unity engine.

We are a team passionate about building high-performance, scalable multiplayer solutions, and a modern, enjoyable development experience tailored to multiplayer games. You will influence the technical direction of our project and collaborate with diverse teams in an open and inclusive environment that values communication and open-minded exchanges!

What you'll be doing

• Design and implement a fast and scalable multiplayer SDK
• Help shape the feature roadmap for the networking library and development tools
• Ensuring a smooth and scalable multiplayer developer experience for beginners to advanced users

What we're looking for

• Tight-knit collaboration and communication skills and used to working in a team
• Comfortable in C#
• Experience working with multiplayer games
• Experience with high-performance programming, multithreading, and memory management

You might also have

• Prior experience with the Unity engine
• Contributions to a networking solution
