GL Accountant

The opportunity

The incumbent will play an integral role in accurately preparing accounting records and financial reports, in compliance with IFRS and US GAAP. This role will also be responsible for a variety of general accounting functions as well as providing support for ad-hoc projects as needed.

What you'll be doing

• Handle month-end financial closing activities and provide monthly Financial Statements fluctuation analysis
• Co-ordinate with IT to maintain equipment assets record and disposal
• Liaise with auditors on statutory audit and provide schedules for tax filings – GST, Corporate Income Tax and Fringe Benefits Tax
• Support ad-hoc projects for system implementation, accounting process improvement, internal controls execution, etc.
• Support employee equity settlement

What we're looking for

• Degree holder / ACCA with substantial experience in General Accounting
• Preferred experience with US technology companies or fast-paced environment
• Experience in managing multi-currency transactions with a strong understanding of foreign exchange impact
• Solid technical accounting knowledge with exposure to IFRS and US GAAP
• Good communication skills, meticulous, task-oriented, team player, self-driven and independent, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines
