Solution Engineer, Automotive & Industrial

The opportunity

Advances in embedded hardware and operating systems bring real-time 3D to pixels on every screen. Users will expect stunning interactive experiences everywhere: from in-car infotainment systems and digital cockpits to touch-screen kiosks in showrooms and at sporting events. Unity is at the forefront with our scalable, performant runtime engine and Unity Editor workflow.

We are looking for a Solution engineer with a focus on HMI (Human Machine Interface) in the automotive business to extend Unity’s success within the automotive/transportation/manufacturing (ATM), architecture/engineering/construction (AEC), and other industry businesses. You will work with the HMI team to build Unity Editor tools and workflows to facilitate the verification (rapid prototyping), creation, and deployment of HMIs on various target platforms for our industrial customers, while having interaction with customer and Partner Engineering teams.

What you'll be doing

• Collaborate with the platform team to support the embedded OS platform layer across various operating systems
• Work with Sales, Platform Development, and Engine Support teams to deliver technical support that addresses customer inquiries
• Build mini-applications based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility
• Conduct rapid prototyping and product demos for industrial customers
• Act as a consultative resource and solutions specialist for business development, supporting clients pre- and post-sales

What we're looking for

• Experience with embedded solutions, platforms, and operating systems and experience in performance, code analysis, and debugging tools
• Experience with Real-Time 3D projects or working with Top-tier automotive industry clients/companies
• Experience using Kanzi, QT, EB, Altia, or other Automotive HMI/UI development tools
• Experience with development or integration on Linux, QNX, or Android
• Fluency in both verbal and written English and Japanese

• Programming experience in Unity or other 3D engines, C# or C++
• Experience collaborating with distributed teams globally
• Passion for overcoming technical challenges with a customer-centric mindset
