We are looking for a student worker to work in the Asset Pipeline team, part of Core R&D. This team develops one of the most critical systems in the Unity infrastructure. The import pipeline is responsible for ingesting and transforming a large number of assets in a scalable way. The imported assets are used in the editor, in player builds and through live link. Our solutions employ a mix of techniques, including
- multi level caching
- lazy evaluation
- parallel execution
- adaptive scheduling
In this role you would have the opportunity to work with skilled software engineers, become familiar with a large codebase and be a part of a dynamic workplace filled with highly motivated people. We look for student workers who are curious, want to learn and are keen to make an impact.Please ensure to include some code examples within your application, such as a link to your GitHub account for example.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing and developing features and systems in a core part of Unity's engine
- Improving the user experience by identifying and fixing bugs, as well as contributing to public documentation
- Ensuring quality by writing automated tests for features and bug fixes
What we’re looking for
- You must be a student in a relevant master's program at a Danish University
- Problem solving ability
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Some programming experience (the team works in C++ and C#)
You might also have
- Knowledge of graphs in computer science
- Familiarity with databases
- Prior experience with the Unity Engine
