The Opportunity

Unity’s Application Security team uses various tools to help identify security risks and threats to our software and services. These tools help ensure robust protection for our customers, our users, and players of games built with Unity.

We're looking for a tooling engineer with thorough attention to detail to be an administrator and maintainer of these applications in order to expand our risk-finding and remediation capabilities.

What you will be doing

As an Application Security Tooling Support Engineer, you’ll work with other engineering teams across Unity on a number of different technology stacks to establish and improve security across all of Unity’s products. Regular collaboration with other teams within Unity to discover opportunities for developing additional tooling and automation will be crucial to keeping Unity at the forefront of gaming and RT3D security.

Your day-to-day work will involve configuring and maintaining Application Security tools, applications, and related infrastructure across a variety of platforms, analyzing and resolving exciting technology challenges. You may sometimes be asked to use your scripting skills to gather data or automate processes. Your participation in peer-reviews of solution designs will help improve established standards.

What were looking for
  • Broad understanding of cloud environments such as GCP, AWS or Azure
  • Familiarity with the concepts, processes, and common tooling behind software development
  • Basic knowledge of application security
  • Ability to work on multiple interrelated projects simultaneously and independently as needed
  • Experience with at least one general purpose scripting language, such as Python, Ruby, JavaScript, etc.
You might also have
  • Have worked in an agile/scrum development environment
  • Are familiar with "sandbox" technologies or automated malware analysis
