Senior Software Engineer, Microsoft Platforms

Our mission in the Platform Systems team is to make Unity the best engine choice for developers on all of the platforms that we support. Unlocking the potential of platform-specific features and services and making Unity games and applications run ever faster are among the things that get us up in the morning. We also love to work together with Unity developers to make their projects even more incredible! We’re looking for a Software Developer to join our enthusiastic, experienced and friendly team based in Bellevue, WA. Unity is used in a huge and diverse range of games across all genres. You will have the opportunity to develop and influence technology used by developers in studios all over the world. You’ll also be given the time and support to grow your knowledge in technical areas you’re interested in.

What you’ll be doing

• Create improvements and features for Unity on Xbox, Windows, and Universal Windows Platform. Develop technology used by developers in studios globally. 
• Design and develop solid, performant engine systems. Maintain existing systems. 
• Improve performance, testability and stability. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring new engine features to Unity. 

• Improve test infrastructure and tools to allow developers to efficiently run and test codes.

What we’re looking for

• Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, or a related field and five (5) years of related, post-Bachelor’s, progressive work experience.
• Must have five (5) years of experience with/in each of the following: Utilizing Command Line Interface (CLI) tools; Knowledge of C++ and C# programming languages; Microsoft platforms, including the Xbox family of consoles; Testing platforms and building systems utilizing PowerShell scripts; and Developing new features for windows low level implementation.

• 40 hrs./week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. $182,312 – $192,312/yr. Standard company benefits.
